The Squires Band References

We wanted a live band to play for our wedding reception from the beginning. So many times people choose DJ services without looking at the cost of live band options, thinking they are way out of their budgets. Not only did we find a band that would appeal to all ages and sounded great, but the cost was more reasonable then most DJ companies in the Twin Cities. We found The Squires Band by searching for live bands that play different festivals around Minnesota, and that lead us to their great website and contact information. Due to us living in Indiana and the wedding reception in Minnesota, we had to rely on the references and information on their website to make a decision whether to book them or not. Squiresband.com had a great selection of recorded songs and videos, which ended up being exactly the type of music we wanted at our wedding reception. Email communication throughout the planning process worked best for us during the busy months leading up to our event, and the band was always quick to respond to any questions or plans that we had.

Our wedding reception was the first time the Squires Band had played at the Science Museum of Minnesota, and everything went off without a hitch. The introduction for the wedding party was great, and they played a perfect mix of polka, classic rock, and traditional wedding songs. The instrumental tunes they played during dinner were perfect. They worked with us to fit in the bouquet and garter tosses, dollar dance, the Chicken Dance, the Hokey Pokey, and many other wedding themed dances.

The dance floor was packed all night long, and the party was great fun. Our parents, grandparents, siblings, and guests of all ages enjoyed the interactive playing style of the band, and we couldn't have been more pleased with our selection of the Squires Band. We would definitely recommend the Squires Band to play any range of events from wedding receptions to block parties to class reunions if you are looking for great entertainment and fun.

The Squires was the perfect band to have at our wedding. Originally, we didn't think we were going to be able to afford a live band-but The Squires turned out to have a very comparable price to the DJ's we were looking at! What a value they provided us with; 4+ hours of polka, classics and rock. They got all ages 1-85 of our 220 guests on their feet dancing the whole night. They provided such a unique charm to our wedding and we know our guests won't ever forget how much fun they had dancing. We would recommend The Squires to anyone in need of a live band who is tired of the same old boring DJ's and cover bands. The Squires were incredible! My aunts loved them and so did my eighteen-year-old friends - clearly they span all ages. They are very adaptable as well - they didn't even blink when they found out that they were playing in the hayloft of a barn on one of the hottest days of summer. I heard from a lot of people that my grad party was one of the best - because of the Squires! I thought I had gone a little crazy to hire a band, but it was fantastic. I have absolutely no regrets. Hello Squires Band! – 4th Annual Stillwater Brewers Bazaar

I wanted to thank you once again for your participation in the 4th Annual Brewers Bazaar. The Squires Band performed great again this year! This year, the event was an even bigger success than last year's. We had a fabulous weather and the new venue on the Avalon Riverboat proved to be a great location for the event. We estimated that we had well over 800 attendees and we raised more than $18,000. We truly appreciate the great job you guys did once again. The most pleasing aspect of the day was walking around and seeing everyone having a great time – especially the folks dancing and singing with you guys on the third deck of the boat. We will be having The Squires Band back again for the 5th year in a row! You guys played your hearts out and it showed with the crowds response!

I wanted to personally thank you for your participation in the 3rd Annual Brewers Bazaar. The Squires Band performed great again this year! This year, the event was an even bigger success than last year's. I know the wind and cold temps didn’t make it easy for you guys but you played a significant role keeping the crowd entertained as they overflowed onto the patio. We estimated that we had 675 attendees and we raised more than $12,000. We truly appreciate the great job you guys did. The most pleasing aspect of the day was walking around and seeing everyone having a great time – especially the folks dancing and singing on the patio. Hello Squires Band!

To begin with, I apologize for being so late with this “thank you”. I spent so many hours preparing for this year’s Brewers Bazaars that I needed to focus on my real job for a few weeks after the event.

I wanted to personally thank you for your participation in the 2nd Annual Brewers Bazaar. The band was a great addition to the event and we appreciated your patience with the weather conditions. With your help, our Rotary Club raised over $9,000 towards our H.S. Student Scholarships program and a Water Purification Project in Mangaon, India. We attracted over 400 attendees to the Water Street Inn on Saturday, May 17th and everyone had a great time.

We are already planning for next year. We would love to have you back again for the 3rd Annual Brewers Bazaar in 2009 as we look to build on the success of the previous years. Thank you once again for your participation and support of our Club. We have had The Squires Band for the past two years at our 'Summer Concert In The Park' Series and LOVE them! People now ask us when are The Squires going to be playing at our concerts in the park. We have had them the past two years and have been very impressed by the variety of music they play and how they interact with the large crowds that we have come for their performance. We definitely will be having them back again! People love to sit and listen and tap their toes to their music. They are dependable and so easy to work with.

We booked The Squires for the past 4 years and have enjoyed their high energy and fun music each year! They always get the crowd into the music and sing along with them. People are expecting to see them each year now. The band is very easy to work with and schedule times to play at our event. Makes my job much easier and they are a great value too! They are a great band...they know a lot of variety and know how to mingle and interact with the crowd. They play the music that the crowd likes and stay with that! Each year more people are coming to our party and that’s mostly due to the great response of having The Squires Band play for our function. I have had them come and play at our neighborhood Oktoberfest for 6 years and they are always a lot of fun and life of the party!! They are so easy and fun to work with too! Even in tough weather conditions, they can adapt so well. We had our 6th Oktoberfest party this year and it was fun as always!
